QUEZON CITY – The Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) embarked on the development of a Philippine National Standard (PNS) on Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) Guidelines that aims to serve as a general document that will assist DA regulatory agencies in comparing and selecting welfare-enhancing regulatory options to attain public policy objectives.
Along this line, the Bureau conducted a 2-part Training Workshop on Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA), held last April 26-27 and May 18-19, 2017 at the NMIS Conference Room, Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The activity aimed to establish a systematic approach to assess technical regulations before implementation.
The Part I Training Workshop specifically intended to enhance understanding of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on the principles and processes of RIA.
